What the Day Feels Like
Your tour begins with pickup in Halifax or Dartmouth before travelling along Nova Scotia’s scenic South Shore toward the historic town of Lunenburg.
Upon arrival, you will have time to explore this colourful UNESCO World Heritage Site. Founded in 1753, Lunenburg is one of the best preserved British colonial towns in North America. Visitors enjoy strolling the historic streets, exploring local shops and galleries, and taking in the vibrant waterfront filled with fishing vessels and sailing boats. There is also time to enjoy lunch overlooking the harbour if you wish.
After time in Lunenburg, we continue along the South Shore with a short stop in the picturesque coastal town of Mahone Bay. This charming village is known for its iconic three churches along the waterfront and offers a wonderful photo opportunity before continuing along the coast.
From Mahone Bay we travel toward Peggy’s Cove, where the famous lighthouse stands atop massive granite rocks overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Here you will have time to walk along the rugged shoreline, take in the dramatic ocean views, and experience one of the most photographed locations in Canada.
Following our visit to Peggy’s Cove, we begin the relaxed return journey toward Halifax, completing a memorable day exploring Nova Scotia’s beautiful South Shore.
